I think Zoomplayer has a plugin for Matrix Orbital LCDs. Not sure what it doeson the display, but it plays DVDs.

Buy a MX2 and plug it in USB. Thats enough challenge for anybody. Besides then you get temperature probes and fan control and LCDC :D

Windows sends a lot of crap out the serial ports during booting - they think they are trying to detect hardware, but they suck of course so it's useless and annoying. Write Bill and tell him you have had enough of his useless port probing and ya ain't goinna take it no more!

Ya, and me too! I want 12 inch screws because mine's mounted in a cinder-block case, and until I get a foot long screw, I'm not going to be happy either!

I haven't tried yet, but I think thought control *is* standard. :wink:

Actually, in thinking about it I realize that the input could come from your PC just as easily as through a keypad, so no, you would not need a keypad - just the program, but where it is I don't know.

Well since you are using a pre-windows98 MS OS, you will find that talking to the serial port is pretty easy (you can access registers directly) and BASIC should work fine. Only thing is that the methods you will use will not really ...
