Which faceplate design is better?

I'm going to machine a custom aluminum faceplate for my MX4 but I'm stuck as to which design to go with, what do you guys think?

No problem, I'll measure off of my unit when I get it, I was just hoping to ge a head start. How does the saying go, "patience is a virtue." Bah, I don't buy it ;).

As far as the machining, my dad has a nice 2 axis end mill, I think that should suffice (although it would be really cool to get my ...

Thanks for the fast response. What I'm really after though, are the dimensions of the buttons and screen cutout and thier placement on the face. If you have a drawing of the faceplate in DXF or EPS format, that would be ideal, but any information you can give me would be helpful.

Thanks again,

MX4 faceplate and keypad dimensions?

Is an exact layout of the MX4 faceplate with dimensions available? I'd like to machine my own aluminum overlay with cutouts for the buttons so I have the best of both worlds, and having a proper drawing to follow would help greatly.

Also do the butons protrude from the surface at all (i.e. do they ...

No problem, I just thought I'd give it a little nudge. :) Thanks for the link, I would assume that the MX4's will all have this board rev and firmware version (or better)?

Using PWM to dim LEDs?

Is it possible to use the PWM features on the advanced GPO's of an LK204-24-USB to dim an LED? I'm looking at using a 1W Luxeon III Star LED on each of the 4 GPOs. The maximum current and voltage ratings are 1000mA & 4.47V (so obviously I'd need a resistor to limit the voltage). Aside from using the ...

Wow! Looks Great. I have a couple of questions about the aluminum face versions though. Are the buttons just covered up by the faceplate or are they not installed at all? And if they are just covered up, how difficult would it be to remove the face to mod it?
