I had a similar problem with my LCD, I sent it back to Miles and I believe he reflashed the ROM chip. So far no errors whatsoever.

Your using smart fans which could be your problem. The smart fans internally regulate speed via tempature. With them plugged in it's possible the PWM of the LCD panel is interfereing with the fans controlling their speed.

Hey Miles just as a note to this issue. I totally uninstalled/reinstalled LCDC that seemed to help a little, it only errored every 5-6 hours. Then I replaced the internal USB cable with an external one. Now I haven't errored in a day. So now I'm guessing it's either a bad internal cable or a bad ...

Spoke with Matt-D-Rat over at the LCDC forums and he seems to think it's a hardware based issue. I'm tending to agree with him at this poiint. I've reset the screen, reloaded LCDC, have a fresh OS install and still this error will crop up randomly. Sometimes after 2 min, sometimes after 2 hours ...

Well did more testing and still can't get rid of this issue. Other USB devices on my system are working fine and a fresh install of LCDC didn't help either. It appears to my untrained in things LCD eye that it is a USB communication error possibly a bad controller on the LCD? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

LCDC Error, hardware or software?

Well I finally have things running at home but now I"ve run into this bit of crap. I programmed all my screens got it running, installed a fresh copy of WinXP on my system etc etc. But even with my system idling and doing nothing I get a fault error in LCDC and it locks up the screen. I can click ok ...

Hello...

Yes you can run two fans per GPO. A couple things you must remember:
1. Only one of the fans will be able to report RPM.
2. The maximum current per high powered GPO is 1 Amp.
3. To utilize the voltage output of the GPO, ensure your fans are connected in parallel, not series.

It's ...

Splitting GPOs?

I know I'm asking a zillion questions but I figure if anyone knows it's going to be you guys. I have a GPU fan thats noisy as hell due to the fact that it runs at 6800rpm or some such number. Can I split one of my high output GPO's to run 2 fans? A case fan and the GPU fan and tie them to the same ...

Oh yeah and rpm monitoring, do the fans have to have it to be controlled or is that just a nice function to be able to display?

Sorry for the long delay...

On the MX221 there is only 3 low powered GPO's that have current limiting resistors on them, giving 5Volts @ 20mA. To connect a CCFL kit to our high powered GPO's you can use the following 4-3 cable available at: http://www.matrixorbital.com/pages/accessories.asp ...

Oh yeah one more question, to thermaly control and or do percentage based control do my fans have to have rpm monitoring on them? Or is that just a nice feature?

MX221 Questions

Hello new to the forum and just received my MX221 with 4 temp sensors and internal USB cable. I have a few questions on how I plan on using my controller and am hoping I can get a hand.

I want to thermal control my 92mm CPU fan and 120mm rear exhaust fan with the MX211. First of all I'm noticing ...
