Well I seem to have started to get to the bottom of it.
I plugged one of the fans straight into the unit and it was fine :)

I presume that I am having problems due to the way I have wired up my fans.

Drivers seemed fine but I re-installed them anyway.
For some reason thedisplay now thinks it's an mx2 series and only has 2 lines of text :(
Not too bothered about that as I really want to get the fans working first :)

Is there maybe some noob setting I have missed in the software that I need to do ...

mx422 and fan problems

Just bought an mx422 and I'm having problems with the fans.
I've got the jumper set to the far left as it shoudl be, the floppy pwer cable is plugged in (definately works as when used to power the A: drive it works fine) and have 4 fans plugged into the sockets.
The fans also definately work fine as ...
