Hi dudek, I am sorry to confirm your suspicion, but ya, your display is dead. 15V will most definitely kill a standard LCD2041. As for repair or salvage, given the nature of the failure, both our controller board and the LCD will have sustained irreparable damage. Sorry to be the barrier of bad news...

Hi LinusDillon, As Raquel has said, the touch panel is a resistive device, its recommended operating condition is -10C to +70C at a max of 90% humidity. I don't have any spec's on the glass itself, but I have no reason to suspect that the glass isn't UV stabilized. Generally, if you are going to use...

Hi, I'm sorry to hear that you are having a problem with your LK162-12. Try re-mapping the keypad (See section 9.9 Assign Keypad Codes in the manual). If the unit is still dropping the same keys after you re-mapped it, contact customer service at support@matrixorbital.ca and request an RMA. Also her...

Hi, Unfortunately the GLK cannot support hardware flow control at this time. I would suggest you increase the upper threshold setting of the software flow control to give yourself a little more warning before overflowing the receive buffer. I know this isn't the idea solution but it does work. Here ...

Hi, What you use really depends on what you like. RS232 is the easiest protocol out there but I2C isn't much more complicated (It's just addressed). If you have a hardware USART at your disposal, I would go with the RS232, it is a little simpler to get started and generally is easy to trouble shoot ...

Hi, Unfortunately you are correct in your assumption that the backlight has reached the end of its operational life. There really is no way to repair it as the backlight makes up a significant part of the expense of the unit and in order to get to it, you have to disassemble the entire display (whic...
