Playing with lcdnet's source code is very easy... Now i would like the blue light on it to be dimmer... when i adjust the brightness, the blacklight is either ON (settings 1-255) or OFF (setting 0) but nothing in between... Try sending messages to the LCdproc mailing list: lcdproc at lists.omnipote...

Picture frame Monitor

Unit: LK202-25-USB Software: LCDProc Difficulty: Easy Other: http://www.webBastards.com/projects/LK202/DCP_0274.JPG (The flash picks up all the dust and smudges from my fingers; it looks better in person than in the pic.) To do this, you need a Dremel tool to cut a window out of the back-part of the...

LK202-24-USb and Linux -- works!

I managed to get the new LK202-24-USB device working under the latest, stable version of the Linux kernel (2.4.20). To do this, I had to make some small modifications to the ftdi_sio USB serial driver and recompile the kernel. To see a (admittedly) brief how-to how I did this, please visit http://ww...

This would be an excellent product for Matrix Orbital to develop. Since an MO display already provides a PIC for translating serial signals to parallel, instead of of having button inputs, support IR. As one unified module MO would have a significant advantage over other vendors. <p> Go Matrix! <fon...

Has anyone worked on hooking up some sort of IR control to the keypad inputs of an LK204-25? Is this silly? Should I use IRMan and have 2 serial ports on my motherboard instead?

How does the Linux audience view console messages on the LCD screen? Ideally, I'd like to see the startup sequence, then switch the control of the display over to another service (lcd4linux or lcdproc) when the boot-up sequence is done. Is it as simple as passing the "console=/dev/ttyS1" c...
