I agree entirely, which is why I wanted some info before I went forward. The guy designing the PCB for me really has a minimalist approach and the programming does most of the work for us. Unfortunately, I don't have a spare MO to send him for testing, but I think it will work out well. His programm...

BloodMoon MX6 series stealthed behind clear red acrylic attaced to the DVD and the whole thing comes out with the tray GPOs control 2 system fans, a secondary LED pulser, and the side panel Dome LEDS. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/Dgephri/Qmicra%20mod/final%20assembly/Qmicra-Two-Tone.gif ht...

each 10 LED sequence is run repeatedly until another signal is received. The daughterboard PCB designer was thinking that counting the number of pulses would be fairly straightforward in his design. each pulse count is a different sequence hard to describe, but I could only achieve the 10LED pattern...

Say, from LCDC, I have an event: When CPU Temp >70, then play GPO sequence #1, play one time. In that GPO sequence, I tell the MO to turn GPO #4 On for 2ms, Off for 2ms, then On for 2ms. Just that. Now, if my daughterboard is designed to look for, and count, 2ms pulses, it's pretty important that th...

GPO pulse timing
I am working on a concept that would take input pulses from the GPO sequencer and result in certain behavior on a daughter board. But I am concerned about the precision of the pulse width that the MO generates. If I tell the Daughter board to watch for 2ms pulses, are they always going to be 2ms +/-...

A would be the same, left to right, but not S or R, or L, they would be backwards left to right. I guess mirrored font would be more accurate. The letter order is preserved, but the left-right orientation is reversed. I will try to get a picture of the visual error in action. Prisms act differently ...

reverse font, not inverse, can it be done?
this will likely sound very weird, but in my current Mod project I want to use the MX6 I bought with a prism. The downside is the prism I intend to use, reverse the text left to right. Any other prism arrangement gets too big (like a periscope) or requires very precise multiple angle grinding (like ...

another USB driver ?
I have a MX2 in another PC, and when I put the MX5 in my new intel rig I get detected, point it to my extracted 1.1 drivers, but a problem with the Serial port part of it says "name or port already in use by device or service..." or something close anyway. I have uninstalled, rebooted, mov...

ah, a new Dremel purchaser. You should Google up on some Mod Guides, how-tos and such. Some basic tips: Use the Fiberglass Reinforced cutoff wheels. They are flexible, narrow, and resist wear much better than the hard stone-type cutting disks. Cover the area around the work with Masking tape. This s...

(quietly rubs hands together)....excellent. As always, great help Tom! This one will definitely get put up in your gallery: 5 LEDs running a Fiber Optic starfield with a mirror-box light pump housing the LEDs. so, the arrangement is that 3 LEDs (2 white, one blue) are running off the low power GPOs,...

BTW, was just thinking about a couple things using the Tx/Rx LED headers: 1.) They flash with USB comms too right? Not just Serial comm.... 2.) is there a way to control if they are on/off without unplugging them? ie-I want the whole unit dark, and all lights off? Or should I just send LCDC a sshutd...
