thx again tom, I just didn't want to be hooking up two positive leads, and crisp either the unit or the LED. So, +5V on the right side, then to the Rx or Tx pin for ground eh? Nice, which is kind of what I expected, you guys generally think ahead on the board layout that we can use plugs instead of ...

Tx and Rx LED headers, just to be sure of specs and wiring-

Tom has assisted me on other issues for the GPOs and Fan headers, but now I am down to designing some LEDs for the Tx and Rx headers on the 520 model: Page 13, figure 8 depicts the LED Tx/Rx header, and as labeled, it shows the LED pin heads on the right side, but the only Gnd is on the Left. Do the...

you guys are great...support here is excellent.

When I get the MX5 all mounted and running in my Lubic case I will post up some gallery pics.

Thanks again Tom.

I guess I hadn't read the manual PDF well enough...the GPOs 567 are always 5V, regardless of the floppy connector or Jumper right? Sorry, I thought I had read over all that, and came up short. So I can run any 12V high draw needs up to 1000mA on the Fan header/Advanced GPOs, and then LEDs 5V stuff o...

OK, maybe I just run my LEDs in series for 12V load.

Is there a reason you changed that between the MX2s and the MX5s?

Was everyone just screaming for more 12V load?

MX5, GPOs, 5v vs 12v. can I get both voltages out of GPOs?

Ok, so I have an MX5, previously used and MX2, and I understand about the floppy cable, the jumper, and whatnot. But I didn't see any metion in the MX5 documentation about which GPOs stay at 5V with the jumper in the High GPO position? I would like to use a couple 12v devices (all under 1000mA right...

yeah, it worked out just perfectly, so I will save the other LCDC disk and key for my next machine when I install the old blue/grey LCD.

That Blue/white LCD really looks, and reads, much much better.

Thanks guys.

I have a use for both of them, but wasn't sure if the codekey was linked to the bios, or eeprom, or something like that.

TY.

new MX2, with disk, with codekey

I just purchased another MX2 series, this one with the colors I had originally wanted for my PC. I wanted to be sure if I should uninstall the LCDC that came with my original one, then change out to the new MX2, then reinstall LCDC using the new keycode? Is this necessary or not? I would prefer to j...

yeah, its like getting an LED-Rider, bargraph VU meter, and sound control unit all in your standard MO.

Grats to LCDC, for unlocking a great power in the MOs that we already own. And grats to MO for putting the control in there.

well, I never had the means to alter things based on any other variables...like NetUp>50Kbs. I actually got it figured out over at the LCDC forums this morning, but wondered if anybody else has fiddled with the 1.06.30 of LCDC yet.

Have a look at the GPO sequencer. wow.

new version of LCDC 1.06.30

With the new GPO Sys-OnCondition option, has anybody yet gotten a GPO to come on with a numeric variable?

Say, when CPUtemp>39?

thanks, I saw some of that mentioned on the LCDC forums site, and I am hopeful that I will be able to trigger things with more precision than current plugins. I would like to do things like trigger stuff on MemBandwdth>XX, and NetupKBs>XX and such. That would be really nice to have a general GPO log...

conditional event triggers...still can't figure it out.

I have been trying to find some combination in LCDC to get a result like: "when NetDwn>40KBs, then strobe GP5" I can set up text to show the NetDwn number and I can tell LCDC that when that number is diplayed then GOTO Event XX. That is not the same as the logic above. But I see no way to ...
