Re: Version 1.4.0.7878

Hi Lenny, Your screen is looking really good, and I'm glad to hear how much quicker and easier development was thanks to the designer software. It sounds like the issues you experienced during development weren't too difficult to resolve, and didn't hinder you too much. As we continue to develop the...

Re: Correct manual for LCD2041 PCB rev1.4

Hi Raven, I understand you are looking for the appropriate manual to use for your LCD2041 Rev 1.4. Unfortunately, we lost LCD2041 Rev 1.4 documentation when transferring from old servers to the newer servers. With that said, you should be able to refer to the Rev 1.3 manual for display commands, and...

Re: Connecting to internal Mobo header/usb

Hi daitern,

The cable can supply power from the motherboard directly to the display. The four pin header on the cable will connect directly to Ground, Data +, Data-, and 5V. There should be no need for additional cables.

Re: Connecting to internal Mobo header/usb

Hi there daitern, Welcome to the forums. I understand you would like to use an internal motherboard cable to connect your PC Bay insert display to maintain clean cable management. We offer an internal 4 pin to mini-B USB cable that you can plug directly to your motherboard, and feed to your display....

Re: Holding the response event from Touch region

Hi Eddy, It's good to hear you were able to resolve your display freezing issues. The Set Hardware Flow Control Trigger Level command is used to adjust how much the display's buffer can fill up before it deactivates the Clear to Send Line. To explain flow control a little further, when Hardware Flow...

Re: Holding the response event from Touch region

Hello Eddy, Command 1.6 Set Hardware Flow Control Trigger shouldn't take a significant time to execute. Does your programming software allow for breakpoints during operation? You may be able to run through each line of the code and determine which line(s) are taking time for execution. When running ...

Re: Holding the response event from Touch region

Hello Eddy, Welcome to the forums! I understand you are looking for a method to poll touch response data from your GLT240128, rather than have the responses automatically transmit to your host. If you enable hardware flow control on the display, you will be able to control when data is returned from...

Re: button presses crashes GTT display

Hello Matt,

Thank you for posting in the forums.

In the past, there have been cases where insufficient power to the GTT would cause the unit to crash whenever a region was pressed. How are you powering your display?

Cheers,
Daniel

Re: Detecting Display with GTT Design Software

Hello Matt,

Thank you for joining the forums!

I understand your GTT43A's are having difficulties communicating with the GTT Designer software loaded onto your computer. How are you connecting your displays to your PC, and what communication protocol are you using?

Cheers,
Daniel

Re: Portrait/Landscape mode, and scaling

Hello Chris and Lenny, After re-visiting the idea of including a dedicated Portrait mode on the GTT, we found that the time needed to render rotated images and text is not as bad as it once was. This may be due to the firmware growing more efficient with each revision. With the faster rendering spee...

GTT Design: Screen Tracking Example

In this example, a simple menu interface is generated and deployed to a GTT43A display using the GTT Designer Software tool. Multiple elements are implemented in the project, allowing a user to navigate between GTT products, while also keeping track of what screen is being currently displayed. This ...

Re: Faulty Display

Hi delshay, Though you would be able to separate the display and the PCB from the foam, you will not be able to re-use the same foam when assembling the display back together again. You would have to find another adhesive to use in order to put the two parts back together. I'll contact you directly ...

Re: Faulty Display

Hello delshay, It does definitely seem like the BGA chip is the issue. I do highly recommend you send the unit to us for repairs. If you purchased the unit within the last year, the repairs and return shipping will be covered under warranty. That said, if you do have the tools, and the know how on r...
