Maybe try shuffling your COM ports? Make port 2 port 4 and port 3 (the usb lcd) port 2? You should be able to do this in the device manager...

I meant the pins the keypads plug slots onto... the usb controller does have them!

Personally I'd bend a few of the keypad headers pins a little so the plug is a little tighter in fitting - but that's the kind of guy I am :) I'm sure MO will arrange to swap the keypad (or the whole thing) if you can't fix the problem... Rob. p.s. email technical support to sort out a return - http...

Guess it will appear here - http://lcdc.planetdps.com/help/howto.htm one day ?

Can't you just export the screen from the example file and import it where you want it?

Re: GLK12232-25 - driving me nuts

Hi; I bought a GLK12232-25 (No Suffix !) some time ago and have just starting using it. The rev: on the board is 2.0, the serial number is 200010-0015. The device is setup as 240 x 64 Rev> 0 using MOGD. Well that's one mistake at least - should be 122x32 (hence the name!), though that's not the sou...

Just download mbm5 and try it :) Smae goes for the lcd software, try before you buy - you don't need an lcd to test it. On another note if you're just looking to display simple things as you say then lcdc might be a little OTT (over complicated and $17.50) - there's plenty of other software that'll ...

Rob, Why did you use the USB cable to go from the display port to the motherboard? Couldn't you have used the Alt. USB to the right, and wired those pins directly to the mobo pins? This is a question b/c I have yet to buy my LCD and using the Alt is something I would be planning on using, so if I a...

Is the keypad plugged into the LCD properly? Does the LCD send it's version number to LCDC when you connect to it in test mode? The keypad header connects directly to the PIC so it's difficult to imagine the controller being at fault and the rest of it working... it's equally difficult to imagine th...

The mobo header is actually two ports, so either forget about pins 1-4 or pins 5-8. Now from mobo to mx2 connect vcc to 5V, gnd to ground, usbp1- to D- and usbp1+ to D+ (I may have D- and D+ the wrong way round, but you won't hurt anything getting these wrong, so if it doesn't work just swap them ov...

MOGD is for graphical displays so you should steer clear, concentrate on alpha demo. Now you say you've tried com2, you're sure that's the right com?

19.2k is right yep. What do you see on power up, lights come on and nice welcome message?

I've wired up about four 2x20 displays which will fit in 3.5" bays now, they come with built in // controllers so you just have to wire them as you would a normal parallel display... maybe I'll dig a picture out for you if I have time. This forum is only for discussing mo products though I'm af...

I think it would be a welcome addition to MO's product range and there are certainly some nice bare 2x20 LCD modules you can buy that'll fit in single 3.5" bays... I guess the main expense involved would be redesigning the controller to fit in the space.
