In LCDC setup have you selected the definition file for the vk204? Also make sure the com speed in LCDC is set to 19200...

Second, you would normally connect an LED across one GPO, not two. Each row of GPO pins is one output, put your LED across those. o o GPO1 o o GPO2 o o GPO3 o o GPO4 o o etc. o o o o o o That's exactly what I thought when I just read this, are you sure you're connecting the LED's to the correct pin...

Hi rob, well i bought the cable from mo! The other cable I tried didn't work but that is explained by what you just said! I have had the jumpers set like that from the start and have tried changing them but to no avail :( I think i might hav to send it back to mo... not really my idea of fun. shipp...

Important things to have working are contrast control in MOGD and being able to draw rectangles in MOGD... the eeprom could be blanked so don't expect text to work, it might not unit you install some fonts. So reset the display as relix described and see if you can control the contrast making sure t...

Can you try the display on a different computer?

If you're using the correct cable and it's not the baud rate it could be your serial port...
