Hi usethafors, Thank you for posting at the forum. Unfortunately, the alphanumeric displays are not capable of having the text inverted. You can try having some custom characters around the text for selection, but now inverting. Another option for inverting text is to use a graphics display. I apolo...

Hi lapoune, Thank you for posting on the forum. If you are talking about screwing the display to the bay insert, then you would need to use 4-40 3/4" screws. If you ordered the display seperate from the mount, you would have gotten shorter screws. If you would like, email me at tlam@matrixorbit...

I can't see how the pic is getting hot unless there is something shorted or the pic has some type of problem. Implementation of I2C won't cause the unit to get hot though.

Can you measure the output of your com port and tell me if you are getting +-12V coming out, when you are sending some data?

Hi Morten,

Are you communicating at RS-232 voltage levels or TTL levels?

There is also a smt resistor between the crystal and the rs-232 chip that is pulling the signal lower too. This resistor is a pull down resistor that does not need to be there. Try taking that off, and see if this improves anything for you.

Hi Madu, You won't need the cd to load the drivers, just the folder you have downloaded the drivers from. Windows will prompt you for a cd, and you will just need to click ok, and then it will take you to a window where you can browse for the drivers. All the software you find on that cd can be foun...

Wow, that is a lot of ideas. There are many factors involved in designing these units. We don't have the units stand alone because most of our displays are being placed in larger systems. We will consider any suggestions that are thrown at us though.

For the unit without a backlight, the N-Channel mosfet used to drive the backlight might have gone bad. You may want to check the output to see if you get 5V turning on and off. Another thing that might happen with the display is the backlight LEDs may have burned out. If that is the case, then the ...

Hi stonehdl,

Thank you for posting on the forum.

You must have a really bright LED to connect it to the high power gpo. You have the correct wiring for the led.

If you have anymore questions or concerns, please feel free to post them.
