I bought an MX232 on Wednesday as I saw one at a lan I attended last weekend. I was that impressed! LCDC is an amazing bit of software once customized, and I'm so happy with it I'm considering getting a 4 line as well
So anyway, enough of that.
I had a quick look about but couldn't find any games that had been written for these displays. Perhaps I didn't look hard enough, I don't know. But anyway, I decided to write one.
Two days later, I present to you Cavern Run!
It's a simple but addictive little game that is designed for 2x20 displays. It features addictive gameplay, online high scores and all round fun! Or something.
Anyway, give it a go. It's a Win32 app created in VB6. I think I got most of the bugs, but I'll soon fix the ones I didn't
There's a text file included, give it a quick read before you start the game.Now that I have a basic engine down, I'll probably make some more games when I get a 4x20 - there isn't much you can do with a 2x20 display in the way of games!
