Using PWM to dim LEDs?

Post by VayVay »

Is it possible to use the PWM features on the advanced GPO's of an LK204-24-USB to dim an LED? I'm looking at using a 1W Luxeon III Star LED on each of the 4 GPOs. The maximum current and voltage ratings are 1000mA & 4.47V (so obviously I'd need a resistor to limit the voltage). Aside from using the proper resistor does this seem doable or am I missing some important point (I fully admit to being an electronics noob)?

No problem, I just thought I'd give it a little nudge. :) Thanks for the link, I would assume that the MX4's will all have this board rev and firmware version (or better)?
