GLK12232-25-SM, reading input

Post by madushag »

Is it possible to determine what character is currently displayed at the cursor position ? I"m trying to use this device to display a prompt for user input and I need to know whats at the current cursor position.

Also, does this model support a cursor of some sort, a blinking one or otherwise?

Thank you.

Hi,

Thanks for posting the a question.

There isn't away to currently display the cursor position, unless you send a something to the screen. The cursor position is easily known where it is, since we give the ability to set the position location.

Since the graphics displays can display any size font to their capacity, there is no predetermined cursor.

However, you may be able to create your own cursor as a bitmap to determine the location of the text.

Try doing that , and let me know what you think.

Best Regards,
