Plugin help

Post by LCD user »

When I download a plugin, I get a .DLL file. What do I do with this? Also, for motherboard monitor 5 out of the 1100 motherboards it has on file, mine is not one of them, Asus A8N-SLI. What other program can I use to monitor my mobo?
thanks.

Hi LCD user,

Another program you can use is Speed fan, which can be found at http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php or you can use hardware system monitor which can be found at www.hmonitor.com . The plugins for LCDC can be found at http://www.lcdc.cc/downloads.htm When you download a plugin, you must copy and paste the .DLL file into the LCDC/plugins folder.

I hope this helps. If you have anymore questions, please feel free to post them.

I tried to copy the .DLL file for Hardware Systems Monitor, however I already had that plugin. The thing is the one I already had is a file half the size so it must be an older version or something. It wouldn't let me overwrite the file, nor would it let me delete to put the new one in. Can anyone help with this?
Thanks

So, I got the plugin for hmonitor in by changing it's name. However when configuring it into a screen it doesn't give all the values that the program provides, only CPU, CPU2 (not sure what that is), and HDD. No mainboard, GPU, or GPU memory. Speedfan gives a lot of values (haven't tried the plugin yet) but it doesn't say what any of them are for. Plus it gave two temps for nForce that are 127C. I know nothing in my case is 127C. Is there some way to configure the plugin better for Hmonitor to show other values?

Unfortunately, my knowledge of hmonitor and speedfan is limited because of I don't use them much. However, you may find an answer to configuring the plugins differently on the lcdc forum at http://forums.lcdc.cc/index.php?showforum=7

If you have anymore questions or concerns, please feel free to post them.
