LK202-25 rev 1.40

Post by CraigL »

Hi Im playing around with the LK202-25 panel with suse 10.1. Its a second hand panel which looks pre configured with a bootsplash during startup basically displaying a name and that its booting. Trouble is thats all it does, when os has booted it remains the same. Ive installed the rpm that comes with suse lcd4linux and have rtfm to try and reset the panel by adding a jumper on pins 5&6 but that has no effect. Do you have any ideas what else I could try? Do you need output of any logs?

Hi Craig,

The first thing that you'll want to do is ensure that your able to communicate with the COM port.

This can be done with a terminal application. What you'll need to do is open the com port that the display is plugged into, using 19200 baud, no parity and 1 stop bit, with no flow control. And then you can try sending text to the display to see if you are able to communicate with it.

Once you have done this, ensure that your app, LCD4Linux is configured with the same settings.

Please let me know if this helps.
