you would see that I figured out how to get it working with my BASIC Stamp and all was well
all was well until I tried to mount my 100% working LCD into a project box to make it look nice and snapped the damn thing I broke one of the connections to the backlight by screwing it in a little too much an not seeing it until it was too late It would power on but the backlight was hosed and it would not work over the db-9 port or the pin header for Tx or Rx
and for the record the pin header was misprinted in the manual here http://www.matrixorbital.ca/manuals/leg ... -25-PC.pdf it says pin 8 is Tx but pin 9 is really Tx on the pin header... not that this matter much anymore Anyways I drift from my point. Can someone please recommend a new LCD for my project. I need something that will be working in TTL mode 99% of the time so it will need to be switchable. I would love for the backlight and LCD to be powered with 5v rather than my poor LK204-25PC which needed 12v for the backlight. The most important feature I need for my project is as close to 10 GPOs as I can get. Lastly, a semi-low price would be nice since this set back puts me way over budget
I'll admit I did not check every LCD for sale from the site, but all the ones I saw seemed have a max of 6 GPOs and if there is something closer to my old LCD out there it would be great.I really doubt I will ever find another LK204-25PC again, but if anyone has one for sale let me know.
