Question on Error Code 254

Hi,

Is the error code 254 sent back to the controller/PC after every Successful Command Execution?

Hi Pads,

The error code 254 is only used when filesystem commands are executed to report that the GTT filesystem has been successfully altered. For most commands it will not be returned.

So, is there any other mechanism for controller/PC connected to GTT480272A to know if the sent command has executed successfully?

Please provide me details on this because the system would be robust and reliable if there is any acknowledgement on successful/unsuccessful execution of commands.

Hi Pads,

The GTT uses hardware flow control which is quite robust in terms of ensuring successful serial communication. If you'd like to know when a series of commands has executed, you can issue the echo command and the display will send back a string when it has completed all instructions.
