My MO LCD still not working!

Well after the power cable u sent me burnt out filling my room with smoke and the smell of melted plastic i have finnaly tracked down a new serial cable!

Bought it right away and tested my LCD that i bought about 4 months ago.

I get light from my LCD but nothing more! It will not disply any images txt or anything and for the price i payed im rather annoyed!

Living in the UK i dont know what to do!

Please help me,

hmm ok i just pluged power cable in again and now its come up with


graphics in any direction with 4 arrows.

if you can't get it to show anything else, you might want to do the manual override ... :o

lol, nothing special really, just poweroff, short the 2 middle pins on the keypad-header, poweron, (the baudrate should now be set to 19200), set the baudrate you wish, poweroff, don't short the pins anymore, and poweron.
...whatever, as if I care...

Important things to have working are contrast control in MOGD and being able to draw rectangles in MOGD... the eeprom could be blanked so don't expect text to work, it might not unit you install some fonts.

So reset the display as relix described and see if you can control the contrast making sure the baud rate, comm port and MOGD are all config'd right.
