Hello,

Like walkinginfog, I am having trouble with my display, mine is a MX530. I've owned an MX2 series before, and i've had the same problem with both! Like walkinginfog, i also have an ASUS A8N-SLi Deluxe motherboard. My display is plugged in and the USB cable is fed out the back of the case and plugged into a free USB slot. I've plugged a mouse into that USB slot to ensure the USB is working correctly.

The display is not recognised by windows and it has no power. This also happened with my MX2 display, and to fix that I used a different USB cable other than the supplied one, and that did the trick.

I have the same ports listed as walkinginfog also, so a fix for him/her will probably also work for me. What should I do?

Hi jontce,

Thank you for posting on the forum.

The MX530 requires power from an unmodified floppy power cable and the usb cable. Walkinginfrog over looked the unmodified floppy power cable, so you may be doing the same thing.

Try this, and let me know if it works.

Hi there,

I just recently given a mx222 for my new case :)

I've got a Asus AV8 Deluxe Motherboard.

Ive done very little readup about them..

My question is? I know the 4 internal pins for the USB connection need to be added. Should I need extra power? I see the 4pin connector. Again if this has been mentioned in the past, or posted somewhere where i should of read:P

Thanks in advance

Ste

Hi Ste,

Thank you for posting on the forum.

The MX222 does not require extra power to turn it on. The external power is only to power up the high power gpos. The only display that needs the external power are the MX5 or VK204-24-USB displays.

If you have anymore questions or concerns, please feel free to post them.
