LCDC example screen. please help. (Full screen to show time)

Post by NewShockerGuy »

I have the matrix orbital mx212 usb lcd. I installed LCDC. There is a cool feature on the 4line example screen where it has the clock as the entire screen... Can someone help me and tell me how to make the clock the entire screen size like in the example of the 4lineexample.lcdc-cf.

Thanks,
-Nigel

Guess it will appear here - http://lcdc.planetdps.com/help/howto.htm one day ?

Can't you just export the screen from the example file and import it where you want it?

Rob.

No no, I'm actually saying is there a way to get the 4 line full screen clock feature to fit on the 2 line display. I like how the 4 line has the entire display tell you the time... I think it's really neat looking, but unfortually when you do that on a 2 line display it is complete cut in half... and was wondering if anyone knew how to make it work or make a new one that displayed the time full screen in the 2 line lcd.

Thanks :-)

There is a plugin which is T22 - 2x2 time plugin...it uses 2x2 font. That might help, I haven't used it so I don't know.

try this:
set custom charaters to:

BigFonts-2

line1= [%FON21%[#$SysInfTim]%]
line2= [%FON22%[#$SysInfTim]%]

WOW... your amazing! :-)

If you don't mind me asking how did you come up with that!?

I've learned know that LCDC is very cool.. after many many frustrating hours and pulling my hair out swearing at it, I'm finally starting to understand it and likeing it :-) I just want to know how to come up with it rather than having to ask everyone... I don't know any programming code either... besides html...

Is there a way so it doesn't read 24 hour time... like it will say 15:04...etc
Maybe just say 03:04... or 3:04..etc?

Thanks again! You rock!

I didn't reply on here as I did reply on http://forums.planetdps.com/read.php?TID=974 ... You can change the time and date format in the "Configuration | LCDC Configuration 1/2" page...set the time format to hh:mm:ssampm

mat-d-rat,

My current string is set as the following.
hh:mm:ss
Do I add the ampm right after the ss. If so does that make it read AM/PM?

Thanks again :-)

Coolies, got that to work, but it doesn't say AM or PM when it's in the bigger size for the clock...Is there a way to get that to work with it?
