I have a VFD 2041 display and my application calls for the 2nd row of the display to be brighter than the 1st, 3rd and 4th.

What would I need to do to dim the 1st, 3rd and 4th lines by approximately 50%?

Unfortunately you cannot accomplish this with a vacuum flourescent display as it is a limitation of the hardware not firmware.
