MX2 and MX3 Differences

Hi All,
A few quick querys regarding the upcoming MX3 series of VFD displays.

I have recently purchased an MX232 (still waiting for it to arrive  but not MO's fault) and whilst reading through the forums tonight, noticed that the MX3 series of displays will be released in a very short period of time.

My Q's are as follows, firstly, what are the differences between the two displays (obviously one is LCD and the other is VFD), and would I be able to do anything more with the MX3 than I could do with an MX2?

Is the MX3 series set to superseed the MX2, or do will they both serve their own purpose (i feel i already know the answer to this, progress is a wonderful thing :) )?

I purchased the MX232 for the black aluminium surround, to complement my black lian li in all it's sexyness, if the MX3 line of displays are a significant improvement over the MX2's, would i be able to just purchase the screen and fit it to the surround from the MX2 and re-use the internal USB cable or do they use a bigger/smaller foot print?

Your help Appreciated.
Russ.

The MX2 and MX3 share everything except the display. There is nothing you will get from the MX3 that the MX2 doesn't have, except the different screen.
