Problems with getting the MX222 contrast, display to save.

I have a MX222 (blue/white) display. Upon receipt of item the unit did not power up unless the drivers were loaded and the OS booted. After reading thru a post, I found that if I solder a jumper around the power connector the unit will light up upon system power up.
However, I have a problem now....I am using Display tuner, the new version that came from unproject.zip and could adjust the contract, brightness in the software...BUT THE CHANGE DO NOT SAVE. Everything I do a cold reset the display reverts back to a very dim contrast and brightness. This issue did not happen right away after I solder that jumper together. It only happened after I install LCDC and for so odd reason the contrast settings in display tuner and LCDC did not pair up. If I was to adjust the display in display tuner upon launch of LCDC the display would be too bright and unreadable. But regardless, I can not save the display settings in LCDC either. Upon cold reset it reverts back to a dim setting.
This MX222, did not come with a manual...well it did on CD. but, the info. provided is INADEQUATE.
