Ok What am I doing wrong

I unsoldered(acctually a friend) Jumper 2 from the matrix orbital so that external power is supplied to the display. I have checked this to be sure, the diplay will not turn on unless the floppy power cable is inserted. I did this so that fans connected to the GPO will turn on when the computer is started however I have a fan connected to GPO1 just a 120 blow hole at the moment I havent done this to the cpu fan untill I get this working however the 120 does not spin until windows xp has booted up. What have I done wrong is there something in LCDC I am missing?

I have the MX223 the brushed aluminum with the inverted red display.

You must also send the LCD display a command setting the default PWM value to use on power-up for each GPO. For example: [##254,195,1,255] would set GPO 1 to max speed on boot. See the following thread:
