Fans not working correctly

I just got my MX212 display today, and I'm trying to control my fans with it; problem is, they make an odd pulsing noise. I can change the pwm frequency but that only makes it more or less frequent. Is there some ideal frequency I should be using? I've searched on the forums, tried the fans with the rpm sensing on and off and it doesnt change anything. Hope somebody can help.

Hello...

What types of fans are you using??

I am using Thermaltake Smart Fan II's, rated at 700mAh at full speed; only one running per channel of the two I'm using.

What software utility are you using??

I'm using the provided "BootEdit" software to set fan speeds until the computer boots up and lcdc takes control. Adjusting the fans with either program still causes them to pulse.

Another question, when I put in the correct settings for my display in BootEdit and hit connect, is it supposed to show the settings I currently have set in the display?

Can you adjust your fans at all? Do you notice any difference when adjusting?? :-?

Yes, I can adjust my fans with LCDC or Bootedit perfectly, they just make the pulsing sound constantly; they pulse slower when running at lower rpm and faster when running at higher rpm, it doesnt go away at any speed or frequency.

Your using smart fans which could be your problem. The smart fans internally regulate speed via tempature. With them plugged in it's possible the PWM of the LCD panel is interfereing with the fans controlling their speed.
