Blank LCD screen

I've just went through the joy of having to restore my computer but am having problems getting my MX232 LCD screen to work on the pc-bay. I do have the virtual display working however. I did have a tech install the internal USB for me when I had them repair the bugs my computer developed. Any help would be very appreciated. :-?
