New to LCD, a lil help plz :)

hi there
well im building a new pc from the ground up, and i would liek to add a lcd to it but ive never messed with any thing like it before id like a big lcd, no bigger than 2 5.25 drive bays, this is what id liek to do, mak ea custom fan buss, add a few usb plugs, a lcd in it maybe one or 2 mroe small things and thats about it
the things id like to do witht he lcd is, show the cpu temp, graphics card temp, over all case temp, thats the main reasons why i want one
and if posible id like to do these things to, check all 3 of my hard drives temp, and anythign else i can do with it
OH whats the defrence betwen the usb ones and the serial ones?
can you guys show me a realy good lcd, and what acceocerys to buy as well, oh and i would also like it to be able to cycle thourgh all of the dysplays i set up oh if theres a lil bit of soldering i have to do thats ok. and forgive me about my spelling. lol
