I was planning on getting the MX4 but noticed it was cheaper than the mx3, is there a reason for this? Does the mx3 have more functions than the mx4?

The MX3 uses a 20x2 VFD display. The MX4 uses a 20x4 LCD display. The higher cost of the MX3 is because VFD displays cost more then a LCD display.

The MX2 and MX3 are both 20x2 displays. The MX4 and MX5 are 20x4 displays.
