1. I like to use the advanced features information plug in for temperature. It uses the dallas one wire for sensing temperature. The dallas one wire uncertainty is +-0.5 degrees.
2. If you have already registered once, upgraded your LCDC, and it asked for a new key, you can always get a new key for free since you purchased it already. If it does ask for a key you can obtain a new by entering your email at

If you refer to the posting at
http://www.lcdforums.com/forums/viewtop ... or+5#12120
, Johnny has used 'speed fan' to sense the temp of the GPU.
I also have a 9800XT. You can use 'speed fan' to sense the temp of the GPU, MBM cannot detect the temp (as far as i am aware). Personally i have 7 probes set up. You wont get anything more accurate than the external dallas probes. I have CPU temp (under die) TEC cold plate, hot plate, GPU temp , North bridge, Motherboard, and external air. All controlled by my MX222
You can also post the question at LCDC about hmonitor. You may be able to get what you are looking for about LCDC and hmonitor. The link is
