lk204-24 usb problem

I bought a lk204-24 usb display a couple month ago. Everything worked fine and i am very satisfied with my product. After playing with it for a couple of weeks i decided to mount it in a box. It's then that i decided to split the two boards. After i've done so, i reconnected the two board together using a 5 inchs home made cable. Since then my display shows very weird stuff. At first i thought i had screw up whith the home made cable. But i checked many times and i cant see any problem with that. What got me really confused is that while trying to make it work i uploaded a new startup screen. And at one point, and only once, the satrtup screen that i had loaded in showed almost like it was suppose to be. The only problem was that the fisrt character was shown as the last character of the 4th line when it was suppose to be in the first case of the 1st line. And also when i test it using the display tuner, i can connect to the device, play with the brightness and contrast. Also when i print something on it, i can see the unit react to it but it shows corrupted character.

Any idea????

Thanks in advance

ps: Specs: AMD 2700, 1 gig ram, Mobo soltek sl-75 nforce2 chipset, ati radeon 9800, Windows XP sp2.

Hi,

If you load the splash screen again, you may get the correct startup screen. Sometimes you need to load it more than once to get the unit working. Check if it working properly after reloading the start up screen.

Still the same problem

I did load the splash screen again with no change. The problem is that nothing works. Everything i tried to display is corrupted. Everything i send to the unit comes out like egyptian Hieroglyphic.

Thanks

The only advice that I give give you is to shorten the cables. Since you seperated the display board from the controller board, I cannot help you any further.
