Hi,

I want to use the DS18S20 sensor on my AMD64, but the heatspreader is only 3mm and the sensor 4mm. Is it possible to use sandpaper and reduce the thickness until it fits without damaging the sensor ? Most IC's and transistors have a protective layer around the actual semiconductors part.
If it is possible does it affect the measured temperature ?

Is it possible to use the B202A keypad on the 20X4 LCD ? I know it doens't fit, but maybe it is possible to mod it <:) . The reason is that I don't need the amount of the keys the MX5 has.

Thank you

Hi,

I would advise not to sand the sensor down because you can damage the sensor.

It would be possible to use any keypad, as long as it has a standard matrix configuration, so it is possible to use the B202A keypad with the 20x4 LCD.

Best Regards,
