Hi, I'm new to the forum. I have been developing driver software for the LK202-25 Matrix Orbital LCD (purchased from Parallax) to run on the JKMicro Flashlite 186 signle-board computer.
I am using the I2C interface. Everything seems to be working properly, with the exception of the backlight commands.
I can issue a backlight on command, and it turns off in the appropriate number of minutes. However, a subsequent backlight command does not turn the backlight back on. I have tried doing a backlight off immediately prior to the backlight on, but this does not help.
Any ideas are welcome!

Hi Russ,
You are using the commands perfectly. The problem is a minor bug that involves the backlight. You may have received a unit that slipped through testing before the "bug" was verified. The only way to turn the backlight on after that particular function is to physically power down the module and power it up again. I understand that this may not be a suitable solution to your problem, therefore if you contact me at myero@matrixorbital.ca, we'll set up an RMA immediatley. I will be sending you a "special" unit in return that you will enjoy!! Would you like me to set this unit in TTL or RS232 mode for you?? Sorry for any inconvenience regarding this matter.

Miles,
No email(s) received from you as yet. Do you have the correct address: home.rr@cogeco.ca
The "ping.be folks" refers to the URL given in the document for the LK202-25 where to get information regarding the I2C protocol.
The only email I've received was the one telling me I've been accepted into this forum.
