Hi guys. I plan on buying an LCD soon. There are so many and I am new to this technology, so I could use some help.

I want to install a LCD into my firewall/webserver/router. It is a Clark Connect linux box based on Red Hat 9. I would like it to display basic system stats like, cpu usage, ram usage, and monitor traffic on 2 nics.

I am not that good at modding things, and the easiest solution would be best for me. Here are some pics of my setup to give you guys an idea of what I am dealing with.

It is just a basic midtower case with modest interals. I would like to install the lcd into one of the 5.25 bays.

What would you guys suggest?

I recommend one of the MX2 or 3 series. They are 2x20 displays. We currently don't support linux, however, people have gotten the driver to work under the linux environment. For details on how to do this, go to http://www.lcdforums.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1050. You can also control fans, and detect temperature with this display. For more detailed information on the MX2 unit or LK202-24-USB go to http://www.matrixorbital.com/manuals/LK ... USB_02.pdf. If you have any sales related questions, you can contact our wonderful sales staff at info@matrixorbital.ca .

Best Regards, :D

Thanks for the link. I did see that thread though. I am not too keen on recompiling the kernel. But, I guess it is time to learn how.
