Temperature Bus Scan Errors

I have a new MX411 installed on a dual Xeon workstation (IWill DH800 Motherboard). I had everything working for one day with two temperature probes. I added a third temperature probe and have had problems ever since. When I attempted to scan the temperature bus, I detect hundreds of probes. I read the postings here and started removing probes to find the bad probe, but that doesn't seem to be the problem. I can remove all the probes and I still detect tens to hundreds of probes. Furthermore, whenever I scan the temperatuere bus, the USB connection dies. (I don't get an error to that effect at the temperature bus screen, but I do get communication errors if I attept to start the display or if I do an autodetect at the general configuration screen. Com3 is my communication port and it cann't be found after running a temperature bus scan.) If I shut the machine off and then start back up the display and LCDC work fine until I try to scan the temperature bus again. Any suggestions as to what my problem might be?

Thanks.

If you installed the display on another system, do you get the same problem?

I haven't tried that. I don't have a similar machine available, either hardware wise or operating system. (Current system is XP and other systems are Win 2K.) Is it worthwile to try on one of them?

It will be fine to try it on another system.
