GLK12232-25-SM baud rate

Is there any way to operate the GLK12232-25-SM LCD module on a 2400 or 4800 baud rate (instead of > or = 9600 baud)? Otherwise I would need to overclock the microcontroller I am using (PICAXE 28X), which would break some functions I need.

The latest revision number. I don't actually have one yet. I just need to know if it will work if I buy it. It would be terrible if I paid all of that money for a display and it didn't work.

Unfortunately on the GLK12232-25-SM display the minimum baud rate you can communicate to the unit is 9600baud. Section 7.1.10 "Set RS-232 Port Speed" of the manual has a table of what baud rates are allowed for the unit. The link for the manual for the GLK12232-25-SM can be found at

However, if you are fine with using an alphanumeric of similar size the LK162-12 can be set at a baud rate as low as 1200 baud. Section 6.1.14 " Set RS-232 Port Speed" of the manual has a table of what baud rates can be use for the LK162-12 unit. The manual for the LK162-12 can be found at

It turns out that I can overclock the chip I am using to support 9600 baud serial speeds. Thank you for your help.
