LK202-25-GW-V question

Hi,
I have recently purchased a LK202-25-GW-V display, but I can't seem to get it to work.

I have connected it to the 12V power using the supplied cable, and when I power it up it will turn on the backlight and one of the lines is filled with solid 5x8 blocks, whilst the other is empty.

I have tried to feed it data using hyperterm (19200bps), as suggested in the manual, but nothing seems to happen when press a key. I am using a regular rs232 3-wire cable for this (again, as described in the manual).

I have read in these forums that some displays show a startup screen, but I don't know if this should be the case with my display.

Could you please tell me if the above is 'normal' procedure with this display? If it is I will need to take a closer look at my data cable, otherwise I will probably need to contact my supplier.

thanks in advance,
Jeroen

Hi Jeroen,

Thanks for posting on the forum! Can you tell me where you purchased the module from and the color of the power cable you received? :)

Hi, thanks for your quick reply!

I purchased the module in the UK with http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/. The powercable has one black and one yellow wire running from the 'regular' pc power cable. (shown in figure 7 of the manual)

regards,
Jeroen
