Problems with LK202-24-USB

Hi. I purchased this display a few weeks ago and it worked/looked perfectly until yesterday morning. My display would not turn on. I havn't modified anything or connected anything other than the internal USB cable, the led indicators, and just recently I plugged in a floppy power cable from an ultra psu. I deleted the driver and from the registry and tried reinstalling the driver. When I plugged in the LCD the usb sound in windows rang continuously for about 10 seconds but no power to the lcd screen itself. Windows recognizes the display. LCDC says "unable to communicate with com3" when I try it. Now, when I plug in the floppy power, windows will recognize it and I won't get the continuous usb sound. Any idea what happened and how I can fix it??

Hi Misael,
Thank you for posting at the forums.
What happens when you use an external usb cable?

Same deal with the ext. usb cable. I was inspecting the unit and found that one of the small white grommets that I guess holds the module and inverter together with a screw is missing on the floppy connector side. I'm thinking maybe it made contact with something? Also, if I play around with the module it flickers on and off at times. The PC still reads it ok but I still get the continuous usb beep sound and the screen doesn't power on.

The white piece is a nylon spacer, and it's only used to seperate the display board from the serial interface board.
Can you test it out on another PC to eliminate the possibility it has anything to do with the PC?

First let me thank you for helping me out.
Ok I hooked up the unit to a 2nd pc via the floppy cable and I noticed that the unit powers up with bars on both lines but no backlight. So I went back to my main pc and noticed that yes, it turns on with no backlight with bars on both lines. I just couldn't notice it since it's dark. When I moved the unit around a little the backlight flickered on and off with movement.
