I have downloaded the new drivers but everytime it tries to install it goes through everything and says "File Not Found" at the end. Doesn't tell me which file.

Running on a Asus K8V SE Deluxe, full build of Windows XP x64 edition.

Hi NecroDeemer,

Thank you for posting at the forums.

The system is looking for the file, you must specify where you saved the driver to. The following link is a guide on how to install the usb drivers.

http://www.lcdforums.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1032

I hope this helps you out.

If you have anymore questions, please feel free to post.

Best Regards, :D

It does find those files without a problem.

It goes through the install process and on the last screen it says "File not Found", where normally it says "succesfully installed" doesn't let me find the driver at all

Do you have of the following registry entries installed?

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\FTSER2K
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\FTDIBUS

No, none of those.

It seems to half install, It lights up and LCDC detects it, but it only scrolls between the main LCDC logo and one winamp screen, then gets stuck.

Does it install anything in device manager?

Yes, but they have the exclamation marks on them.

Can you uninstall the drivers with the exclamation marks on them, and try installing the drivers again?

Still refuses it, I tried installing the ones which weren't "compatible" (because it only shows me the MX2/3/4/5/6 driver, and tried the USB 2 Serial one.

No luck. Just keeps reprompting me to install the hardware.

I had it working fine on 32 bit windows.

You downloaded the 64bit drivers from http://www.lcdforums.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1016 right?

What happens when you plug an unmodified floppy power cable in then try installing the device regularly?

No change whatsoever.

I have attached a CPU-Z Output if that may be of any use

Our problem is that we do not have a 64bit Windows to try the drivers on, and our testers said the driver was good.

Attached is the original driver files from the manufacturer. Uncompress them into a directory, and see if at anytime you can point windows there when it says there is a missing file.

It doesn't ever request me for a file, it does the file copying piece and then just finishes on that screen.

No warnings come up at all.
