GLK24064-25 Uploading Fonts problem?

Post by junstin »

1.Copy all the fonts from my GLK24064-25 CD to the font directory under the mogd.exe program folder.

2. I can upload the Clean and Small Filler Font to position 1 and 2,
but when i try to upload Arial Filled Font to the LCD, i got an error message
"Warning!!The module did not return the correct character! (Sender : 6 Received 8), do you want to continue?"

Later i try another bigger font like Lucida , got the same error message, this means i can not use the bigger font to display text on the screen,
can any one help to resolve this problem?

3. Can someone provide some C++ code about uploading font?

BTW, i am running mogd.exe on XP Home edition?

Thanks.

Justin

Hi Justin,

Thank you for posting at the forums.

Did you upload some bitmaps in memory too? If you have, then they could have taken a lot of memory space. When memory is full, the warning usual comes on. You can also try pressing the "Wipe Module File System" soft key, the load the fonts. Pressing that key wipes out everything out of memory, so you an start out clean. The message will also come up if you have a bad cable because it sometimes can't echo all the characters back when sending fonts.

Unfortunately, I currently don't have any sample C++ code on how to upload fonts. It is recommended to use mogd.exe to upload the fonts and bitmaps to save lots of time. For more information on uploading fonts, you can refer to page 25 of the manual at http://www.matrixorbital.ca/manuals/GLK ... 25_120.pdf

If you have anymore questions or concerns, please feel free to post.
