Problem with autoscroll and vertical graphs

So I'm having a problem with turning on autoscroll. Im using the LK 204-24 USB
with it off, if I send the following text
111111111111111111
222222222222222222
333333333333333333
444444444444444444
the next line creates this
555555555555555555
222222222222222222
333333333333333333
444444444444444444
which is what I expect. The problem is when I turn autoscroll on which is supposed to move all the lines up and print on the bottom. What actually happens is the bottom line moves up to the top, and then the new line draws at the bottom.
444444444444444444
222222222222222222
333333333333333333
555555555555555555
instead of
222222222222222222
333333333333333333
444444444444444444
555555555555555555
----------------------------------------------------------------------
My second problem is with vertical graphs. I can only draw them from the center of the display up. My graphs only draw in rows 1 and 2.
I drew a bunch of graphs each time heigher and higher, and this is what I get, nothing ever in rows 3 and 4

Hello yakpimp,
Thank you for your post.
How are you sending the text to the LK 204-24 USB? Are you using your own application? Is it possible for you to please try the same thing using uProject (you can get it
here)
In the Alphanumeric tab of uProject, there is a Demo Thin and Demo Thick Bar Graph button; I believe that is default to run the demo on a 20x4 display (check the Column and Row). Click on either the Thin or Thick demo and see if this draws on lines 3 and 4.
Please let me know how it turns out.

I'll try that when I get home today.
The way I am doing it now, I am just sending the command in a character array.
[254][WhateverDrawVertGraphIs][Column][height]
using writefile.

I did this, and it only draws in rows 1 + 2. alternating bars going up and down.

Hmmm. Can you please ask it for its module type? There should be a button in the Main tab of uProject.

It opens a small window titled Display Tuner with the text Module recognized as ""

Can you please send the command /254//55/ via the Uploader tab:
In the uploader tab, go to Commands, Add, Raw Data.
This opens up the Add Raw Data window. Click on Add Command Byte. This should add /254/ to the empty Raw Data line. Go to ASCII Number and type in 55. Click on Add. This should add a /55/ to the Raw Data line. Click OK.
Click on Script, Execute, Enter. This will execute the command you created. The module should reply back a 1 byte value. Let me know this value.
Side Note: when you first turn the module on, does it have characters displaying on lines 3 and 4?

It replied with 0x38 which according to my docs say that it is LK204-24-USB
And when I turn the display on, lines 3 and 4 work fine. I can write directly to the lines, and the horizontal bar graphs work fine on those lines.
