Hi,

I'm interested in purchasing a LK204-25 LCD display, to use for a wallmounted security system keypad. The keypad will provide the following functionality:

* Enter code, to display options screen

* Arm or dis-arm particular parts of the system (zones)

* Test the allarm

* Display any messages

The keypad will be driven by software which I will write.

My questions are:

I already have a box, and a keypad for the control unit, but I haven't yet purchased the LCD screen, however I want to begin producing the control unit.

The manual says the dimensions for the display system (with I presume protrudes a little) is 76.3mm x 25 mm. However, I don't know the locations of each of the mounting screws, or the diameter of each screw.

The keypad I'm using doesn't provide a cable to plug into the PCB pins, I know plugs exist, but I don't have the name of them. If somebody could tell me what they are called, that would be great.

Thanks for your post.

The display can display any message you tell it to display. Some displays have GPOs that you can use to turn things on/off, such as relays; this might be useful when you want it to be the one controllng parts of your system (please note though that GPOs are not complex, they only turn on or off (+5V output sourcing up to 20mA, or ground, sinking current).

As per dimensions, I will get someone to help me out to get you the answers.

And with the keypad, I am not sure what plug it is that you are referring to. Can you maybe post a picture of the keypad?

I was refering to the plug (or socket) that connects to the pins on the LCD PCB. I don't know what they are called.
