Hi all,
I have an LK204-25 sitting on my lap now, in peices. Thinking that it'd be easy to change the backlight colour and not realising it used a LED array instead of a single LED, I proceded to take off the LCD itself (easy), then the little white light diffuser thing. Bad Idea. WIth it came a rubbery/plastic layer, about 2mm thick, and after it came off, LEDs no worky. Now I fully accept that I may have just killed it, but I was wondering if there was any way to revive it, maybe by changing it to a single LED type thing. I guess I could get some Surface Mount LEDs and change all of the current ones, but that'd be a royal pain and i'm not sure how the current ones are wired.
If anyone could help I'd be greatly appreaciated. Otherwise it looks like i'm unsoldering the serial backpack and trying to get it working with a parallel LCD I can get here! (Matrix Orbital stuff is expensive in Australia, and extremely hard to get).
