The LCDC developer Matthew Augier told me to post in the MO Forums.

By the looks of it some application is keeping the port in use, grab a copy of Process explorer from microsoft and see if you can figure out who's using it. (use "Find handle or dll" and search for com27 or VCP but be sure to only watch for handles if you search for VCP)

Okay lets first try moving the com27 to something nicer like com5 see if that improves things.

pretty much like matt told you but instead of 2 (which could be a 'real' internal port) put it to com5 instead.

Changed to Com 5 it says port is in use unable to access. Also tried the "Display Tuner" and changed it to Com5 and it says "Unable to open com port (win error code 5)

Okay next idea , right click your MX in the device manager and click uninstall be sure to select remove driver software for this device when asked. Unplug the device, download the latest drivers from our website and plug the device back in. If assigned a big comport number again put it back to 5 and see if comes to life then.
