Matrix Orbital Corp

My pc space chassis is very small .so the infrared led on my Matrix Orbital GX Typhoon is obstructed. My case has hole for 5mm led, can I sue an external infrared led located on chassis to connect to the typhoon?

You can't the IR Reciever (its not a led, its alot bigger then an average led so will most likely not fit in the space provided by your case) is stuck to the pcb of the GX there's no easy way to seperate the two.
