Bit of a strange question.
My MOS AL202A board died but the LCD is fine and mounted deep inside my media centre case, so I bought an ALS162 to use the interface board as a replacement not realising my LCD was a 2x20.
I can't return the ALS162 so is there a setting somewhere I can change to allow it to use the full 2x20 screen?
Or is this not allowed ?
Nick
Can a MOS AL162 board drive a 2x20 display?

Hi Nick,
Unfortunately, a complete MOS product (X-Board + Screen) cannot be reconfigured, but an X-Board alone can. It's not so much being allowed to reconfigure as it is reducing the possibility of an accident on a product where that feature usually isn't desired.
The options at this point seem to be live with the 16x2 board or invest in and configure an X-Board, but if you have any further questions please don't hesitate to ask.
Thanks,
~Troy
