My firend came over and hooked up my GLK12232-25. I was trying to figure it out after he hooked it up and I couldnt get it to work...I then tested the voltages and found out that he had it hooked up to +12V vice +5V for 5-6 hours...do you think it is fried? Hmph! Some friend!

What did your friend do exactly?
The 12232 uses a normal unmodified floppy cable (in all varieties I think), so you plug 12V in, it's just that the 12V pin aint connected to anything.
Saying this the 3 lines you describe sounds bad... very bad

Well, he ordered a matrix orbital from a distributor and soldered the connections...so basically, the one that said +5V had +12

I just wanted to say that Matrix Orbital is one of the best companies that I ever had the privilege in buying from!
