Emulation of EVEx on a PC screen

Hello!

I would like to know if there is some kind of emulation system for PC. Here is why:
I wrote a software for a real EVE, but now I need to write a user's manual.
I could of course take pictures (and that's what I am doing). But the problem is that
pictures are always a little bit distorted, there is a reflection on the screen, contrast
is not that good, etc, etc. So ideally I would like to run the software on a PC to get
the exact same image that I can dump into an image of some kind.

Does this exist?

Thanks for any hint,

R

Maybe use the EVE Screen Editor and "create" the screens you want to take a screen shot of?

Bridgetek has an emulator available, you can find details in appnote AN-281 [1]

Hello!

Thanks for your replies.

Yes, that's the idea. I would like to dump the buffer I'm sending by SPI / DMA on the real hardware,
then feed the emulator with it, and get the exact same screen on my PC.
Bridgetek has an emulator available, you can find details in appnote AN-281 [1]
I have checked the AN281 and downloaded it.
Now it says this:
"The emulator library is included in the install package of the EVE Screen Editor, which can be
found in the section of the following page:
http://www.ftdichip.com/Support/Utilities.htm"

I have checked the page, searched for "emu" no results, for "screen editor", then "screen" only... No results.
Where can I download the library from?

I have also searched the web for "FT8xx emulator", found some pointers to AN281 above.

Any hint welcome
