I'm building a home made flight deck for Flight Simulator. I want to add a couple of LCDs for both the radios and the autopilot panels. I'm not an electronics expert and I have several questions about Matrix LCDs:
- Does LCDs are Reflective, Transmissive or Transreflective? I'd like my panel's displays to be seen in almost any light condition.
- Is it possible to keep an LCD running on both I2C and RS232 protocols? I thought about connecting LCD#1 via RS232 to my PC and LCD#2 via I2C to LCD#1 and that will let me use ONLY 1 serial or USB port.
- If it's not possible, is there a way to handle I2C protocol from the PC's serial ports?
- How does LK404's keyboard connection works? Is there a DIN connector on the display's PCB?
